keeping busy

we started “camp” back up today.

with plenty of help, as you can see.

we started with a few basics.  my sister worked on her “assignments” from alabama studio sewing+ design while we also busted the silk screens back out for some screenprinting.

i haven’t felt ready to sew yet, but this was a good way to dip a toe back in.

to my surprise, i prefer the simple graphic of the heart design over the more complicated sketch.  through the fog of everything, i am thinking that the amazing colors of this particular t-shirt yardage suggest an alabama studio-style babydoll fitted top.

  1. Easing back in through screenprinting with someone else who also loved your mom sounds like a great way to process. I hope the cats are especially helpful!

It looks like you are going to have a great time- can’t wait to see what color the cat ends up.

I agree with Cindy – screenprinting with loved ones is a great way to ease back into creating … especially when there are adorable kitties involved
